You might recall that a few weeks ago I agreed to run a half marathon with our eldest daughter, India. It's in New York in just over four weeks. My training began in earnest two weeks ago and I am making reasonable progress, with quite a few aches and pains (I was thinking of showing you a snap of my big toe nails, both dead, but as my family refuse to look at them, why should I impose them on you?). I ran seven marathons but the last -in The Big Apple- was in 2000; that's quite a long time ago. On a friend's recommendation (thanks Julian) I paid a visit to Run and Become in Victoria, London last week and bought some decent running shoes. Running is a lot easier when you can run here in The Highlands; the joys of running alone -except for the dogs- are profound, especially when the endorphins kick in. More soon.
