You might know that I love axes. I like using them, but, most of all if I am honest, I just like having them, looking at them, holding them. Tools hold a strong visual fascination for me; not boring B & Q tools, but beautiful, handmade tools. I have scissors from Vietnam, spades from Canada, lots of tools. Anyway, I collect axes and Best Made Co. make my current favourites (you might well have noticed that if you are nice enough to follow this blog). My newest one arrived this week. From the packaging down, it achieves something rare in design; perfection. I was interested to learn that Best Made Co. was mentioned in the context of perfect contemporary branding in a lecture at London College of Fashion (our daughter is there) recently.
