We saw this last week. It has been nominated for quite a few Oscars, and it's pretty great. The cinema was freezing and the sound atrocious, but it's a good film. In many ways it's just the kind of film I love; simple, gentle and quite lyrical. Clooney is great. There's a fair amount of Hollywood schmaltz -sometimes Clooney appears super-human despite the film seeming to be about normal people- but, hey, small gripes. Recommended.

The Descendants.
We saw this last week. It has been nominated for quite a few Oscars, and it's pretty great. The cinema was freezing and the sound atrocious, but it's a good film.
